Kathy in Amish Country 2003

Kathy in 2002

What a sad sad thing this is. Kathy was one of the finest people I've ever known. Also one of the most intelligent and open minded. Our dear departed Kathy was a fascinating woman and a classy lady indeed. She was never shy about speaking her mind. Read an Interview with Kathy from 2001. How wonderful it was to hear the joy in her voice as she talked about the new music she loved so much. How happy I was to hear her talk about her new friends in O-R. She felt welcomed and loved by you all and for that I am pleased and grateful. Good bye Kathy. I will miss you terribly.

Our dear Kat is gone, I hear a sad ~meow~ in every corner. She was always strong in her faith and I really hope she will be rewarded in Heaven. Her son Charlie, 19, and her daughter Hannah, 16 are the ones we should focus our attention to.  They are now orphans.

As an alternative view to the sadness and loss I would like to share this from someone who knows..  make of it what you will...

"You should look at the illusory death of your physical body as graduation day.  It means you've gotten all you're supposed to get out of this particular, temporary classroom.  The lessons have been learned!  It should be a celebration.  I assure you it will be a lot of fun.  In most cases, if people knew what freedom from the body is like they wouldn't mourn the dead - they'd be jealous."

I for one will choose to see Kathy released and enjoying her current status and send energy and comfort to the ones left behind and hurting.
