Other "GORGG" Definitions

Gatherings involving members of on-reflection, where all attendees come from within the same state, province, county or similar comparable administrative unit will be known as LOR(G)Gs (Local On-Reflection (Giant) Gathering). Such gatherings must involve a minimum of two members of on-reflection, and must be somehow related to the list, Gentle Giant or progressive music in general.

Should the gathering involve one or more persons from a state or province adjacent to the venue of said gathering, it will fall into the category of ROR(G)G (Regional On-Reflection (Giant) Gathering). Note that definitions will be based on attendees' permanent place of residence, and they may be required to prove it by possessing a valid legal document clearly indicating their permanent address.

If the permanent place of residence of one or more of the attendees and the venue of the gathering are separated by one or more states or provinces, the gathering will be known as a NOR(G)G (National On-Reflection (Giant) Gathering). If the event is attended by persons from other countries (regions internationally recognized as sovereign, independent nations) from the same geographical continent, it will be classified as a COR(G)G (Continental On-Reflection (Giant) Gathering). If the gathering does not fall into any of the aforementioned categories, it is a GOR(G)G (Global On-Reflection (Giant) Gathering).

It is recommended that the use of the term "Giant" be reserved to gatherings where the combined height of attending listmembers (without shoes) exceeds 10', or the average height of attending listmembers exceeds 6'4''.

A couple of additional definitions are necessary to distinguish gatherings that involve members of Gentle Giant, such as the one that recently took place at the Musical Box concert. This particular gathering will be called a CORGGABOOMMOGG (Continental On-Reflection Giant Gathering Attended By One Or More Members Of Gentle Giant). Such an additional definition will not be necessary for GORGGs, which have always been attended by members of Gentle Giant, with the exception of the gathering in NYC in 1999. This event will termed GORGGNABAMOGG (Global On-Reflection Giant Gathering Not Attended By Any Members Of Gentle Giant).
